Todd and Melissa Lemoine of Las Vegas, Nevada are experienced in small business, having run party rental companies in the past. And as a former bellman on the Las Vegas strip, Todd was also well-versed in the art of creating a memorable guest experience. So, when the couple discovered EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS® fruit bouquets, they began to explore the unique franchise opportunity, and ultimately decided to invest in a store of their own. (continued below)
“The presentation of the product, and the fact that Edible Arrangements was a company that was just starting out at the time really piqued our interest,” Todd says. “It was nothing we’d ever seen before!”
Todd and Melissa (who also taught in the Clark County school district for 10 years), opened their first EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS® store in the “Entertainment Capital of the World” in April, 2006. They purchased their second store there a year later. To this day, Todd says the exciting fresh fruit arrangements remain a key to the success of their business.
“The product speaks for itself,” Todd says. “When people receive an arrangement, they are genuinely happy—you’re making their day.”
Todd believes the EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS® corporate office has always been ahead of the curve, with a focus on research and development at the core of the business:
“From an innovation standpoint, they are really on top of the game,” says Todd “They always come up with new ideas for marketing, as well as for product development.”
Todd and Melissa opened their third EDIBLE ARRANGEMENTS® store in St. George, Utah in the fall of 2012. Todd attributes the growth of their enterprise to the success of their Las Vegas stores, buoyed by an experienced staff they can trust.
“We’re excited be in a new market, and to bring this product to a whole new area,” says Todd. At their Utah store, the couple offers the EDIBLE TO GO® product line where guests can enjoy a grab & go menu including all natural smoothies and beverages, fresh fruit salads, sundaes and parfaits, and chocolate dipped fruit.
“Edible To Go® is a fantastic idea—I’m very excited to integrate it into the Utah store,” says Todd. “I think it will be a huge success, and it will bring more awareness to the brand.”
Todd and Melissa agree that delivering an incredible guest experience that combines amazing products and stellar service is what keeps their customers coming back:
“Every customer who walks into our store has a choice,” Todd points out. “In order to set yourself apart, you have to provide that WOW factor every time. We want our guests to come back to us, not only for the products, but for the great customer service.”
