As Manager of Marketing Planning and Analysis at Subway, Steve was responsible for planning the national marketing calendars, sales promotions, vendor marketing relationships, consumer research and kids’ marketing. While at Subway, Steve was part of the marketing team that launched the pivotal nutritional campaign featuring “7 Subs Under 6 Grams of Fat”, which led to years of success for the brand.
Steve worked in direct marketing with ADVO Inc. where he held the position of Senior Category Marketing Manager. He was responsible for informing the ADVO sales force of the best ways to drive business for their clients in the fast food, grocery and home furnishings categories.
Steve also held the position of Vice President of Account Services at b.little + Co, a promotion agency in New York City. b.little specializes in youth and family marketing and is the family marketing agency for Subway. b.little manufactured promotional merchandise and developed campaigns for its clients, many of which featured licensed properties from partners like Disney, Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon. While at b.little, Steve helped launch Subway’s kids’ program theme of “Play Hard, Eat Fresh” by developing innovative licensed promotions with brands like Vans shoes, Burton Snowboards, Trek Bikes and Razor Scooters. Other clients Steve managed while at b.little included Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and Hershey.
Steve joined Edible Arrangements® as Vice President of Strategic Alliances, initially working on consumer-targeted initiatives with partners such as entertainment licensors and industry associations. Partnering with entertainment giants like Disney and Nickelodeon, Steve developed and launched the Kids & Kids at Heart Collection®, which features licensed character fresh fruit arrangements.
Steve Thomas quickly moved into the role of Vice President of Marketing in July of 2007. His disciplined consumer insight-based approach to marketing efforts proved critical as Edible Arrangements® made its national television debut in early 2008. At the helm of a talented marketing team, Steve oversees Consumer Research, Strategic Alliances, Storefront Image, Web Development, the Customer Order Center, Product Development, Field Marketing, Advertising Development and Media Planning and Execution.
